A bright and lustrous example of this rare variety of Tower Mint Shilling and far superior to the Ex Lockett specimen that sold in 2020 at the Dr. Hullet Sale for £2048 inc. BP (see the third illustration). The devices beautifully sharp, a very bold portrait and virtually extremely fine. A wonderful coin and a rare variety !
